When I was living in San Diego, California, I was looking for a winery or restaurant that offered vegan cheese and winery pairings. I love wine, having grown up in Santa Barbara, and appreciate participating in well curated wine pairings. Despite the amount of vegans restaurants in San Diego, I sadly found nothing!
Therefore, I decided to do it myself. I held my first vegan cheese and wine pairing event at Barrel Republic in Carlsbad, CA. I sourced local produce and fresh bread from farmer’s market, and used my favorite plant-based cheese brands. My first event sold out, and was such a success! I had since done 5 other events throughout the country!
